Dale Chihuly: Seaforms
Temporary Exhibition Gallery
Sponsored by

Dale Chihuly: Seaforms will feature 39 artworks from the internationally acclaimed artist’s Seaform series. The exhibition will feature both fully executed blown glass pieces, as well as preparatory works on paper and will showcase the development of the Seaform series including early works, when Chihuly began the series in 1980, through the present.
Inspired by the sea, Chihuly’s abstract compositions of colorful organic forms are comprised of large shapes often containing a number of smaller blown-glass vessels and bowl forms—a characteristic Chihuly has used in several different series throughout his career. Whether regarding his small-scale blown glass works, large-scale sculpture or site-specific installations, Chihuly creates a sense of wonder and excitement that has captured the world’s attention.
