Registrations are valid with full payment. Register up to three days before class by phone, walk-in or mail (not by voice mail). Cash (not by mail), checks, VISA, MasterCard, and American Express are accepted. Registration confirmations are issued via email upon request. Class fees are not prorated.

Class Cancellations due to weather or faculty illness will be rescheduled based on classroom and staff availability, but are not guaranteed. Under-enrolled classes will be cancelled three business days prior to the first day of class.

Refunds are not given after the second class. A 50% charge will be withheld for cancellations less than four business days prior to first class meeting.

General Open Studio is free of charge and open to all adult students enrolled in the current session.

 

Ceramics Open Studio is available, for a fee, to adult students currently enrolled in FIA ceramics courses.

Youth Membership participants (ages 2.5–12) receive a 20% discount on art classes, a 10% discount on The Café and Museum Shop items, mailings in their name, and an invitation to three free Youth Membership Activities per year.

Pre-College Portfolio Program is a three-year subsidized program designed to strenghten the visual art skills of gifted high school freshmen interested in pursuing a college education in the arts. Applications are due in December; call for details. This program has been made possible by the James A. Welch Foundation and the Stella and Frederick S. Loeb Charitable Trust administered by Citizen’s Bank Wealth Management, N.A.

Art School Policies are available in the Art School Office upon request.

Student Artwork not picked up within two weeks of the end of the session will be discarded.

Art Supplies are discounted 20% in the FIA Museum Shop (for enrolled students only).

The Café offers a 10% discount to members on all Starbucks® coffee and Hoffman’s Deli selections.

Members receive 20% off classes, priority enrollment, the FIA Members Magazine, free admission to exhibitions and more.

Lockers may be rented in the Art School office with your own lock for $10/$13 per session, or $30/$40 per year. The FIA is not responsible for items lost or stolen from lockers, galleries or studios. Lockers may not be rented by phone.
